Friendly, professional and a wealth of knowledge
I had the pleasure to meet Matt to have my dog, Abby trained. When I brought her to his facility she would not listen to a word. After the 2 1/2 week training program, she is now a much better behaved dog and easier to control. When the training is complete you are sent home with a video to use as a reference. I found it very helpful when Abby would start to misbehave again. I would highly recommend Matt!
I took my dog to Matt to help with obedience training and food aggression. In no time he had my dog learning place, healing off leash, and was able to get her to relax while eating food and treats around other dogs. I highly recommend him to anyone for any dog problem.
Pet training-21 days
Matt came to my house because I saw him and a trainee dog in town and was so impressed. His hands on practice and creating real world scenarios was so important to me. He made me feel comfortable and secure even when I asked obvious questions. However he was taking care of my 3 1/2 year old untrained portuguese water dog who was unbehaved with no manners. My goal was to have my 3 1/2 yr old dog get along w my 12 yr old because I didn't have the interest or time. Matt made it very clear that there was follow up for me so my dog didn't revert backwards in behaviors. Our family's goal was to also have our dog be more socialized and not jump on people so he could be out when people were over and not tucked away. He sent videos, called, always responsive within a day of my calls, patient with me and my dog, knowledgable with years of professional training which was totally exposed when you meet him. I am happy to say my dog came home from " puppy camp" as we call it in our house and for the first time in 3 1/2 yrs was able to socialize with a party of 20, including a child in a wheelchair at eye level. He was fabulous. The real test for us was with other people over could we carry on a normal household and his reaction to my other dog. Far exceeded my expectations and visitors. My favorite line is "why didn't I do this 3 try's ago!!!!!!" Even at this point Matt followed up with me for follow up appointments so his follow through was better than my own and was available even as recent as last week, two months post, to troubleshoot with special needs my dog had and then repeat calls to follow up which he wasn't required to do. He does over and beyond for your family and lifestyle which includes your dog to more than expected and continues to do so. I am so happy I saw his out and about training dogs!!!!! He saved us from getting a new home for our fabulous " now trained" 3 1/2 yr old LOVE. Thank you matt!!!!!
Professional and knowledgeable
Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Matt helped our dog, Christie, overcome her anxiety when we had visitors to our home. Matt worked with Christie to alleviate her anxiousness and to learn new behaviors when the door bell rang. We highly recommend Matt. He helped restore peace to our home.
Friendly, Professional, Success Seeking
Its coming practice for "professionals" to talk down to people that come to them for help with training their Dogs. After over a quarter of a century in business, Alert K9's, Matt Caraturo will have none of that. This is a very friendly, professional, success seeking business. The mark of success for Matt is the client succeeding with their dog. I would give this business more than 5 stars if possible. Very highly recommended. Ed
